I've had a magical few days interstate in Sydney (as my Instagram and Facebook followers will have seen!) and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to travel with my gorgeous man Mr P.
I love to travel it drives me to work hard, save money and make sacrifices so that I can explore this amazing world we live in. I get so excited about planning and organising things to do and see so I can make the most of the time away from home.
But at the end of it all I am always glad when the plane (or ship!) lands on my home soil and I open the front door to those familiar smells of home, I can raid the fridge when I'm feeling hungry, and jump in my own comfortable bed at the end of the day!

I will always have a burning desire and love for travel .... but as they saying goes there's no place like home!
Very very true! I feel pretty much the same way.
ReplyDelete'Adventure is worthwhile in itself' is one of my personal favourites by Amelia Earhart. Great blog!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with this!! :) Your trip looked amazing, can't wait to hear more about it!
ReplyDeleteThanks it was pretty special, I might have to do a post about it and share some photos of that famous snow egg!
DeleteSentiments that speak in a universal language "There Is No Place Like Home"!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely!
DeleteAgreed! Though I'm finding the more I travel and live in different places the more blurred my sense of home becomes. Over the past few years I've been finding myself referring to home as wherever Patrick and I are together. And if we're not living in the same country, then both the countries feel like home :)
ReplyDeleteThat must be very hard to move around like that and live in different a different country to where you grew up. But as you say home can also be who you share it with :)

ReplyDeleteYep I agree with Vanisha, I no longer have a "home" city, only a physical home...where ever my base is! I used to get upset about not having just one city I call home but over the years, I've realised it's pretty cool to feel comfortable wherever I am! :)
ReplyDeleteNever stop travelling! x
It must be hard to not live in your home town but you have certainly made your friends your family and your base your home. Amen sister .. never stop travelling!
