Book Reviews

I write book reviews here every Monday and share them on book review websites Good Reads and NetGalley.

In my book reviews I'll describe the story, what I liked about it and who I'd recommend it to. I also use a star rating so if it gets 5 stars and I'd pass up a date with Johnny Depp for this read you know it's a great book!

Book Reviews For Publishers

I review books for Random House Books Australia and NetGalley and these are usually pre published proof books which I'm so excited about because it gives me a chance to share these reviews with you guys so you can be one of the first to read them as soon as they hit book stores!

To find out more about how you can be a book reviewer with NetGalley read this blog post.

My Book Club - The Tuesday Girls

I review books every month that I read with my book club The Tuesday Girls.

I use to get stumped about what book to read next so I decided to joined a Book Club which you can read more about here. The Tuesday Girls we call ourselves are a group of woman in our 30s from all parts of the world, meet up on the last Tuesday of the month over wine and good food and talk about books ... and men, travel, life in general really!

Now each month I always have a book in my hands and a stack of recommended reads by my bedside.

If you've ever wanted to start your own Book Club then check out my 10 easy steps on How To Start A Book Club.

 What I read

Most of the fiction books I read come from the library - free and easy just the way I like it!

Whilst I love to flip through the pages of a book in my hands I actually really like the convenience of reading eBooks and read them via the Kindle app on my tablet. I find I'm reading a lot more books now that I can download them on my tablet direct from NetGalley.

The only books I buy are coffee table type books on interior design and decorating. I also have an addiction to cook books .... a domestic goddess can never have enough recipes to pick from!

Book genres I read are contemporary fiction, chick lit, thriller, war time, romance, lifestyle, gardening, interior design, decorating and cook books.
