Book Review: Second Helpings At The Serve You Right Cafe By Tilia Klebenov Jacobs

Tilia Klebenov Jacobs has taught middle school, high school and college and has won numerous awards for her fiction and non fiction writing. Tilia lives near Boston with her husband, two children and two poodles.

This is the story of Emet who is out on parole after 10 years in prison and trying to get his life back on track. Emet works in a cafe in a small town where the story is based and involves the lives of the people who come into or work at the cafe.

Emet meets a girl Mercedes who comes from a dysfunctional family and her deranged brother starts to make life not so pleasant for Emet.

This story is about giving people and life a second chance, it had a really nice feel to it and it also had some strong meanings behind it as well.

It was easy to read, witty and quite a short novel too I finished it in just a few days.

I recommend this book to anyone interested in real life fiction and second chances.

I give this book 4 stars out of  5
