The cold wet days of Winter are officially behind us now that we have entered September ... the start of Spring here in Aussie Land!
The birds have come out in their flocks chirping and nesting their way through the trees in the neighborhood denying any hope of a morning sleep in. The flowers and fruit trees are all in bloom and their fragrance leads me into a sneezing fit whenever I step outside. Everything seems to come alive this time of year.
I tend to eat different in Spring as well ... the pots of warming soup and hearty dinners are replaced with lighter meals, like salads and BBQ dinners. I try to make the most of the fruits and vegetables that are in season, not only are they cheaper to buy in season but they taste so much better and stay fresher for long as well.
The thing I love most about Spring is it's still daylight when I leave the office which makes a world of difference to getting out and about and exercising. I can take Lexi for more walks around the park - great for her to let off some of that puppy energy and great for me to get some exercise.
It really is such a pretty time of year ...
What do you love about Spring?

DeleteI'm with you I love spring, the smell, the light and the new fashion colours. But seriously I am not going to go back to fluro colours which appear to be all the rage, thought they got rid of those in the 70's. xxx Rae
